Everyone who wants to lose weight raise your hands. Now everyone who wants to lose weight without exercise raise your hands. Did you raise yours? I know I did.
People all over the world are looking to lose weight without doing any exercise. Some might be too lazy, some might not have enough time for exercise and some might not be physically able to.
Whatever your reason may be, you CAN still lose weight without doing any exercise, you just need to change other things in your life in order to do so.
Here are some ways how you can lose weight without exercise.
Keep a food journal
If you are overeating chances are you don’t even know it. Keep a journal where you write down when, what and how much you are eating every single day. And keep track of your hunger levels too. Lastly be sure to include all snacks and drinks as well.
When keeping a food journal you have to be 100% honest and write down EVERYTHING you eat. If you have one lonely grape here and one lonely M&M there you HAVE TO write them down. If you are not honest about what you eat, the journal will be of no help to you.
Keeping a food journal will make you more aware of just how much you are actually eating. And will also help you in recognizing any patterns or habits you might have. For example you always eat too much at night or have a snack 20 minutes after lunch.
The journal will be a great tool to help you think before you eat mindlessly, it will keep you accountable and help you see what food habits you can change.
Eat one large meal
Eating only once a day is a quick way to lose, and it is not unhealthy. With this type of eating plan you restrict the amount of times you eat a day and the time of day you eat.
By only eating one meal a day you are saving some calories and your body is kept in a constant fat burning state. So the basic idea of this eating plan is to eat only one time a day – preferably at night. And that one meal you have should be a big one. You can feast like a king every night, while eating nothing during the day.
By eating this way you won’t ever feel deprived since you can basically eat whatever you want as your meal. You will also have more to get things done during the day since you won’t have to worry about eating.
If you follow this way of eating you probably will get hungry in the beginning. If you do, you can have 1 or 2 pieces of fruit – DO NOT go overboard. Of course you can still drink coffee and tea during the day, and don’t forget your water!
Use a smaller plate
If you just can’t seem to lose weight no matter how hard you try, you might want to buy some new smaller plates.
When dishing up on a large plate we tend to fill the WHOLE plate. A smaller plate will drastically cut your calorie intake since the portion will be that much smaller.
The key to this is to not pile the food as high as a mountain and to also not go back for seconds. You will become aware of just how much you are actually eating and how much you actually need to eat.
Cut out liquid calories
I know we all love our Starbucks beverages but those calories can accumulate very quickly. Many people tend to forget that these calories actually do count, and they can cause you to gain weight or keep you from losing weight.
If you can’t go without your morning latte be sure to actually factor those calories in and maybe eat one less snack to even it out. Or better yet, swap any drinks for water.
Drink more water
This one seems pretty obvious and I’ve touched on it in some of the tips mentioned above.
It is important to drink enough water during the day especially before a meal. This can help you feel more full which results in you eating less.
Since thirst is often mistaken for hunger try to drink water whenever you feel hungry, if the hunger feeling doesn’t go away then have a healthy meal.

Even though it is 100% possible to lose weight without exercise, it is always good to get even a little bit of exercise throughout your day.
