If you are looking for free stock photos for bloggers you have come to the right place!
I just LOVE collecting great stock photos and have a whole gigantic file dedicated to them. That’s why I am always on the hunt for places where I can find good quality free photos that I can use on my blog and in my pins for Pinterest.
You should always make sure that you are allowed to use photos before you actually use them. You can’t just take a random image from google and include it in your post – you are legally not allowed to and you can get in trouble.
That’s what makes these free stock photos so great. You know that you absolutely CAN use them without breaking any law.
You should still read all of the terms of use of these websites before you use their images – just so you can get a good understanding of how you can and cannot use them.
I have broken the list into 3 categories: general, food, and styled stock.
So here we go, 30 places to get free stock photos for bloggers.
General photos
These websites have a wide variety of categories, from animals to travel photos – they have it all.
1. Unsplash
This website is a community where photographers submit new high definitions photos daily. You can use any of the 300 00+ photos absolutely free – for commercial or non-commercial purposes. It is 100% free and you don’t have to give credit – only if you want to.
2. StockSnap
All photos found here fall under the Creative Commons license, which means you can use them as you like without having to ask permission.
3. Pexels
I love Pexels and often use their photos. These photos are 100% free to use as long as you use them legally. All photos are tagged and searchable.
4. Gratisography
This website offers free high definition images you can use for personal or commercial use. New pictures are added weekly.
5. Burst
This website is powered by Shopify and they offer thousands of royalty free images you can download and use. You can use these photos how and for basically anything you want – providing that it’s legal of course.
6. Death To The Stock Photo
With this website, you need to sign up in order to receive free images. If you sign up you will receive a set of free images each month. They also have a premium option where you have to pay, but the free one is good enough.
7. Negative Space
This website is a community of photographers who all share their beautiful images for FREE under the Creative Commons CC0 license. You can use them for personal or commercial purposes.
8. Pixabay
This website has over a million FREE stock images for you to use any way you like. All images fall under the Creative Commons license which makes them 100% free to use without asking for permission or giving credit.
9. Kaboom Pics
This website offers a wide variety of high definition photos, which can be used for personal and commercial purposes. This website is run by a woman named Karolina and she takes all of the photos.
10. Picjumbo
You can access all of these free stock photos directly from the website but can also sign up to have them delivered to your email.
11. MMT Stock
All photos on this websites were taken by the founder Jeffrey Betts, and are available for personal and commercial use. You can actually filter the photos by color which is pretty cool.
12. ISO Republic
Free stock photos for creative professionals are offered on ISO Republic. New photos are added weekly. This company also started a website for free stock photos of food called Foodie Factor, which is mentioned below in the food section.
13. SplitShire
SplitShire’s mission is to help you be awesome out there with great content. Well, they certainly help with that, there are tons of beautiful photos available.
14. Stockvault
Stockvault not only has free stock photos, but also some cool Photoshop brushes and textures. If you want to use a photo for commercial purposes you must first check if the photo has a commercial license.
15. Free Photos
This website gathers stock photos from various stock photo providers all in one place. All photos fall under creative commons.
16. Skitterphoto
Skitterphoto offers free stock photos from a lot of different categories. All photos on this site fall under creative commons.
17. Life of Pix
This is also a community where photographers share their best photos. Each week a photographer of the week is selected and 10 of their best photos will be displayed on the homepage of the site.
18. Rawpixel
Rawpixel offers free and paid stock photos. In order to download the free stock photos, you need to create an account.
19. Pikwizard
Pikwizard has over 100,000 free images you can use, with more images being added daily.
Food photos
These websites are all dedicated to food and drink only.
20. FoodiesFeed
This website is filled with awesome looking photos of food that are completely free to download and use. I love this one!
21. Free Food Photos
This website offers a variety of different categories of images for free. You can use them as you like BUT you do need to credit them.
22. Food Everest
This website offers beautiful professional looking food photos. You can use them for personal or commercial use absolutely free but they do appreciate it if you credit them. And you obviously can’t resell the photos as your own.
23. Scatter Jar
This website offers free unique photos of food. There is no search bar, but have different categories you can choose from
24. Foodie Factor
All images provided on Foodie Factor are free to use for personal or commercial purposes. Attribution is not required but is of course highly appreciated.
Styled for Girl Bosses!
Only the first site (Styled Stock) is an actual website where you can search for photos. The other places mentioned are bloggers that offer free stock images when you sign up for their newsletters – and they are gorgeous so it’s totally worth it!
25. Styled Stock
They offer beautifully styled photos for free. A credit is greatly appreciated but is not required.
26. Haute Stock
If you sign up you immediately get four free images to use on your blog, and then you will also be added to their mailing list to receive free stock photos EVERY month!
27. Color U Bold
If you sign up you get 50 beautiful and colorful images with more photos being added each month.
28. Boss Latina
You will receive 10 free stock images once you sign up and also receive free images each month.
29. Make Your Blog Beautiful
If you sign up you get 20 styled stock images for free and you also get access to other resources.
30. Oh Tilly
You get 3 free styled stock photos each month once you sign up for her newsletter.
31. City Girl Searching
If you subscribe to her blog you get access to a library filled with resources including beautiful free styled photos.
