We all go through those stages where our hair is just brittle and dry. But fear not, there are some amazing DIY hair masks you can make at home with ingredients you probably already own! They are also super easy and straightforward to make.
The Ingredients
Here I will talk about some of the ingredients we will use in the different DIY hair masks and why they are beneficial to your hair.
Coconut Oil
Coconut oil has many many uses – and not surprisingly for hair as well. Since coconut oil is rich in fatty acids it is super moisturizing for your hair and your scalp.
Honey
Not only is honey a great conditioning agent, it also helps with hair growth. Since honey contains lots of vitamins and minerals, it nourishes and enriches your hair. Why is honey a great conditioner? Honey is an emollient, meaning it seals all of the moisture in your hair. This helps keep your hair looking soft and beautiful.
Egg
Eggs are rich in protein and fats, and therefore makes your hair follicles stronger.
Plain Yogurt
Yogurt is great for conditioning your hair and removing unwanted oiliness. It is also claimed that yogurt works wonders for getting rid of dandruff and minimizing hair loss.
Avocado
Avocados are not just for eating, they are also great if they are included in your beauty routine. Avocado will help smooth down frizzy hair while moisturizing it since it is rich in healthy fat and oils.
